It’s good that movies sometimes are made for the purpose of mirroring an important historical event. Take the French revolution for example. How many movies do you know that reflect either the whole, or a bit, of this unforgettable event?

We have listed three movies that mirror the French revolution in a different way:

Un peuple Et Son Roi

Un Peuple Et Son Roi is a new movie that will be on cinemas in September this year. It’s about the French people’s history and the King’s unavoidable destiny. Cinema Teaser Magazine gives you a sneak peak in their latest edition, of what the movie will be like!

Les Misérables

The musical classic “Les Misérables” is a must-see for all musical lovers, and even those who don’t usually care for musicals as well. It’s well written and well played. The filmatisation of the movie that launched in 2012 features a lot of famous actors and actresses such as Anne Hathaway, Hugh Jackman, Amanda Seyfried, Sacha Baron Cohen and more. The movie focus particularly on the poor people of Paris, but the gap between the rich and the poor becomes more and more visible. It’s a tragedy, but it’s also a story about love and fighting for what’s right.

Marie Antoinette

This movie mostly takes place before the French revolution but is worth seeing for it’s skilled filmatisation. The re-interpreted version from 2006 by Sofia Coppola featuring Kirsten Dunst as Marie Antoinette, gives another perspective of the French revolution and the fall of Versaille, as well as of Marie Antoinette’s marriage with Louis XVI. The critics have praised this movie and we really recommend you to watch it.
