Now…blow out your candles and make a wish. It doesn’t have to be a realistic wish, but a wish you would love to come true.
Did you, like many others, wish for wings or an ability to fly when blowing out the candles on your birthday cake when you were young? People have always been striving to achieve the impossible and flying might be seen as such a phenomenon.
When the Wright brothers invented the flying machine, no one could really know the effects it would have on human life, though the ability to fly high up in the air, above the clouds, is something we today take for granted.
The perks of mechanical wings
The numbers of people who never have been travelling by air plane grows smaller for each day. However, the ability to steer an airplane is not something we take for granted, nor is it something that everybody could do. To be a pilot doesn’t only require a whole lot of training, focus and discipline in order to bring passengers safely through the air, it also requires a good sight. When driving a car, you don’t need to see very well in order to get your driver’s license. Although, you need to be wearing contacts or glasses when sitting in the driver’s seat. When you want to become a pilot, on the other hand, contacts and glasses simply aren’t enough in order for you to be able to fly with passengers. But if you really want to become a pilot there are other ways you can go to make it happen. You will not be able to work as a pilot, but you’ll be able to fly.
Now…open your eyes, but keep quiet. What did you wish for? Wings? Becoming a star pilot? Or being able to fly your own airplane? And why not a helicopter as well?
No dreams are too big. Just remember that if your plan A doesn’t work out the way you want it to, always keep a plan B in mind and things will work out just fine, or perhaps even better than you expected them to. In other words, if you can’t become a star pilot for a big airplane company, be your own star and fly wherever you want to, whenever you want to.
